Residential Roads and Sewer Installation — North West

Peter Cunningham Groundworks constructs new estate roads and combined/foul/surface water sewer networks for residential developers and commercial clients across the North West. We build to the standards required for adoption under Section 38 (highways) and Section 104 (sewers) agreements, providing developers with adoptable infrastructure that meets adoptable authority requirements.

From Formation to Wearing Course

Building adoptable roads and sewers is a process that demands attention to detail at every stage — from formation level through capping, sub-base, base course and finally wearing course. Our experienced roads and sewers teams maintain quality and programme throughout, working closely with the relevant highway authority and sewerage undertaker inspection regimes.

What’s Included

  • Bulk excavation to formation level and capping layer installation

  • Sub-base construction to specification

  • Drainage, chamber and manhole installation to adoption standards

  • Kerbing, edgings, footways and crossings

  • Binder course (base course) asphalt laying

  • Wearing course asphalt surfacing

  • Road testing and defect remedy prior to adoption

  • Coordination with S38 and S104 adoption processes
